i think it's worth noting that every time you've gone through moments where one of you is very predominant, worrying that you're faking is similar to the belief that the rest of you are gone. maybe it's worth keeping that in mind? as you said, people who haven't been out are still there, which means you're not faking. does that make sense?

additionally, "epochal or sequential MPD" is something that kluft talks about as common presentations. there are distinct differences and we know that you don't identify as having DID, but the idea that there are people who front a lot or almost exclusively for long stretches of time is a documented phenomenon. you're not alone in this. i hope that's a comfort, too.
